However, within the scope of the relevant decision made by KVKK that says “In the event that legal persons resident abroad are responsible for determining the processing purposes of personal data, defining the means, establishing and management of data recording system in accordance with the data controller defined in Law; apart from the resident legal person resident abroad, they will be considered as resident data controller in Turkey", it has been raised that the branches of legal persons residing abroad operating in our country should also be evaluated as the data officer and registered to VERBIS in case of existence of conditions.
